Hellenic Research in Mathematics and Informatics '94
On the three-day period of September 22nd to 24th, 1994, more than 250 scientists from all over the world attended the 2nd Hellenic European Conference on Mathematics and Informatics, known as HERMIS '94. The creation of the HERMIS Conferences results from an initiative of the Department of Informatics of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and the Hellenic Mathematical Society (HMS). The HERMIS conference is to be held on a permanent, regular basis on an interval of two years. The HERMIS '94 Conference was jointly organized by the Hellenic Mathematical Society and the Department of Informatics of AUEB. The main theme within the HERMIS Conference is Computer Mathematics and its Applications with special emphasis on Computational Mathematics, High Perfomance Computing and Operational Research and Statistics.
